Are you a mental health provider (social worker, counselor, or psychologist) looking to acquire more therapeutic tools to support students exhibiting trauma symptoms in the school setting?  Then this session could be for you!  In this interactive workshop, mental health professionals working in schools will learn about common evidence-based intervention techniques and their contributions to recovery from trauma.  Participants will receive tools to support evidence-based practice, including standardized measures used to screen students for trauma exposure and trauma symptoms, handouts, and other resources.  Finally, presenters will describe the key components of three manualized interventions commonly used in schools—Bounce Back, Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS), and Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS).  The session will include a demonstration of key skills as well as opportunities to practice new therapeutic techniques.
